Wisconsin Lutheran College presents the Fine Arts Fair and The Kids from Wisconsin concert

MILWAUKEE - The third installment of the free Summer Arts in the Park concert series at Wisconsin Lutheran College, Fine Arts Fair and The Kids from Wisconsin, is Saturday, July 1 in the campus courtyard. The fair opens at 9 a.m., and The Kids from Wisconsin perform at 2 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.

The Fine Arts Fair will be from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Artists will offer a varied selection of fine arts and crafts including handmade jewelry, acrylic paintings, carved wooden bowls, pottery, sculpted garden art, watercolors and greeting cards. A silent auction will be open for bids through 4 p.m.

The Kids from Wisconsin will perform at 2 p.m. This troupe of young Wisconsin singers, dancers and musicians never fails to delight crowds with a wide variety of tunes. From Broadway to pop, gospel, country, soul, jazz, folk or patriotic selections, they do it all with pizzazz.

In addition to The Kids from Wisconsin, numerous other musicians and singers, including: the Milwaukee Metro Community Concert Band (9 a.m.); Koine-Christian Contemporary (10:30 a.m.); Tina Smith (noon); The Gadjo Players-Jazz and Acoustic Swing (4 p.m.), will entertain audiences throughout the day. 
     
Summer Arts in the Park events take place on the Wisconsin Lutheran campus courtyard located between Bluemound Road and Wisconsin Avenue at 89th Street. Admission is free of charge. Audience members should bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Concessions will be available for purchase throughout the day. The fair and concerts will be held inside if raining.

Since 1995, the Wisconsin Lutheran College Center for Arts and Performance has been providing a comprehensive program of performing and visual arts and educational and community events for students and the people of southeastern Wisconsin.
