Wisconsin Lutheran College Music Department presents the Spring Instrumental Ensemble Concert

MILWAUKEE - The Wisconsin Lutheran College music department presents the Spring Instrumental Ensemble concert Friday, April 21 at 8:00 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall. Ensembles scheduled to perform include the Clarinet Ensemble, Percussion Trio, Trumpet Ensemble, Chamber Ensemble and the Flute Choir. The concert is free and open to the public. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave.

The Clarinet Ensemble will open the concert with works by Kuhlau, a French suite by Desportes and Mancini. The Percussion Trio, with special guests, will offer the works of Crockarell, Houllif and Hackmeister. The Trumpet Ensemble will present pieces by Beethoven, Karg-Elert and Niehaus.  Following intermission, the Chamber Ensemble, a string ensemble, will perform music by Telemann, Nunez and McLean. The Flute Choir will close the concert with the music of Sousa, Jendras and Lombardo.

Since 1996, the Wisconsin Lutheran College Center for Arts and Performance has been providing a comprehensive program of performing and visual arts and educational and community events for students and the people of southeastern Wisconsin.
