Frula performs the traditional folk dances of Eastern Europe at Wisconsin Lutheran College

MILWAUKEE - Frula performs the traditional folk dances of the former Yugoslavia, as well as from Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Albania, as part of the Horizons Series at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. Frula's repertoire is comprised of customs and folk tales gathered from these cultures presented through music and dance.

Over the past 40 years, Frula has given more than 7,000 performances throughout the world. In the United States alone, Frula has toured 26 times, appearing in the finest halls including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

The Frula performance is sponsored in part by the Wisconsin Arts Board. The Schwan Concert Hall is located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance at 8815 W. Since 1996, the Wisconsin Lutheran College Center for Arts and Performance has been providing a comprehensive program of performing and visual arts and educational and community events for students and the people of southeastern Wisconsin.
