Road construction projects to affect travel to WLC
A segment of Bluemound Road will close July 20

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is reconstructing the Zoo Interchange. The project began earlier this year and is projected to be completed in 2018. The Office of Marketing and Communication is maintaining in a Zoo Interchange construction update page throughout the project.
Traffic pattern changes and a closure will take place this week.
- Greenfield Avenue has reopened over I-894, as have the Greenfield Avenue ramps to and from I-894. The area is still a construction zone with lane closures.
- All traffic on Hwy. 100 has been shifted to the northbound lanes. Expect intermittent lane reductions and closures for paving operations and other transition work through July 20, especially on Hwy. 100 between Watertown Plank Road and Walnut.
- Beginning July 20, Bluemound Road west of the intersection with Hwy. 100 will be fully closed until July 31 for paving operations. Hwy. 100 will remain open; westbound traffic on Bluemound must turn onto Hwy. 100. Eastbound traffic on Bluemound must use an alternate route (I-94 or Greenfield Avenue).
- There is a full closure of Glenview Avenue (84th Street) between Wisconsin Avenue & Bluemound Road. Glenview Avenue is scheduled to reopen August 31.
From August 1-10, Watertown Plank Road west of the Hwy. 100 intersection will be closed. Hwy. 100 will remain open; westbound traffic on Watertown Plank must turn onto Hwy. 100. Eastbound traffic on Watertown Plank must use an alternate route (Bluemound Road or North Avenue).
