Dr. David Rogner to lecture on campus

MILWAUKEE - Dr. David Rogner, professor of English at Concordia University Chicago, will speak at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. The 4 p.m. lecture, presented by the college's School of Modern Languages, is titled "Jesus, I Will Ponder Now: The Passion of our Lord in Poetry and Painting."

Prof. Rogner's areas of expertise include British romanticism, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, 19th and 20th century poetry, Christian art and poetry, and hymn texts. He also is the faculty advisor to Motif, Concordia-Chicago's literary and creative arts journal.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Reichel Lecture Hall, room FM15, located in the college's Center for Arts and Performance, 8815 W. Wisconsin Avenue. For further information, contact Prof. Erik Ankerberg.
