WLC Winter Band Concert set for December 10

MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Lutheran College Concert Band will present its Winter Concert Friday, December 10 at 8:00 p.m. in the Schwan Concert Hall.
The program will feature a wide variety of musical compositions, opening with the newly composed and exciting ...Go by Samuel R. Hazo. This will be followed by a new piece by noted composer Frank Ticheli titled Angels in the Architecture, with Jessica Landini as a soprano soloist.
Two student trumpets, Joseph Workman and John Fenske, will be featured on Concerto for Two Trumpets by Antonio Vivaldi. Senior Jeffrey Sitzman will be the trombone soloist on Ferdinand David's Concertino for Trombone and Band.
In addition, the band will perform Robert W. Smith's popular Africa: Ceremony, Song, and Ritual and John Philip Sousa's Black Horse Troop, among others.
