MILWAUKEE – The seventh annual Gary's Gallop 5k run/2-mile walk, a tribute to the late Wisconsin Lutheran College president Dr. Gary Greenfield, will be held Saturday, April 17 at WLC's Krauss-Miller-Lutz Outdoor Athletic Complex.

The race, which begins at 9:30 a.m. and attracts more than 300 participants annually, will begin in the parking lot of the athletic complex and proceed onto Underwood Parkway. Participants will head northeast on the parkway past the entrance of Hanson Park, then return to the athletic complex. The race concludes after a lap on the Raabe Stadium track.

Following the 5k race/2-mile walk, kids ages 12 and under can participate in a free kids' race at 10:30 a.m., where they will be invited to run around the track.

Race registration fee includes a long-sleeve T-shirt (for 5k and 2-mile participants only), light breakfast and lunch, awards to the top male and female runners in each age division and overall male and female winner and a tax-deductible gift to the college's athletics booster organization, the Warrior Club.

Participants can register online or by mail. Mailed registrations will be accepted through Tuesday, April 13. Online registration will be available until Thursday, April 15. Walk-up registrations will be accepted from 8:15 a.m. until 9 a.m. on race day. For more information, visit wlcsports.com to download the race brochure or to register online.
