MILWAUKEE – The nursing program at Wisconsin Lutheran College is hosting an open house in the new nursing laboratory on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. The lab is located in the WLC Science Hall, Room 032, 8800 W. Bluemound Rd.

Visitors will be able to meet nursing faculty and college administrators, watch demonstrations with patient simulators, take tours of the lab, view displays with task trainers, enjoy refreshments, and win door prizes.

The Wisconsin Lutheran College nursing lab features five patient simulators, six individual patient care areas, and workstations.

In 2007, WLC began its nursing program, which prepares students who want to do clinical work, but also who want to get higher degrees to become nurse educators. The first class of nursing students is scheduled to graduate in 2012.
