Determination of Need
Your expected family contribution figure will be the same regardless of which college or university you choose to attend.
The aid for which a student qualifies is calculated as follows:
| Cost of attending WLC (tuition, fees, housing, meals, books, transportation, and personal expenses) |

Family contribution (the best estimate of a family's capacity over time to absorb some costs of education) |

Qualified financial need (the aid for which a student is applying) |
Not all financial aid is based on need. Merit-based aid is available for the student with superior academic achievement.
