The critical importance of diagnostic medical sonographers

Diagnostic medical sonography includes general sonography, cardiac sonography, vascular technology and various subspecialties. Highly skilled professionals working in this career help physicians gather the necessary data to reach diagnostic decisions.

Demand for bachelor’s prepared diagnostic medical sonographers and cardiovascular technologists is projected to grow ten percent from 2021-2031 by the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, and employment opportunities can be found around the world in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and diagnostic laboratories, among other health care settings.
