When Can I Intern?
- Must be a junior or senior
- Must have declared major or have faculty approval in major of interest
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must have developed a serious approach to work
- Best taken during semester(s) when you have a lighter class load
Procedure
- See the Career Development Director to begin application process.
- Approval form should be submitted to the Director at the time you register for the credit
- Register for the _________490 (ENG, PSY, BEC, COM, etc.) at the normal registration time.
- 1 credit = 45 hours on site
- 2 credits = 90 hours on site
- 3 credits = 135 hours on site
- 4 credits= 180 hours on site
- 5 credits= 225 hours on site
- 6 credits= 270 hours on site
- Up to 3 credits may be applied to the major
- Up to 6 credits may be applied to the 128 required credits for graduation
Checklist
- Register for credits with the Registrar’s Office
- Turn in the Internship Approval form to the Career Development Center
- Turn in the Internship Agreement form to the Career Development Center
