When Can I Intern?

  • Must be a junior or senior  
  • Must be in good academic standing
  • Must have developed a serious approach to work
  • Best taken during semester(s) when you have a fairly light class load

Procedure

  • See the internship coordinator to file an application
  • Application should be submitted to the coordinator at the time you register for the credit
  • Register for the ___490 at the normal registration time.
    • 1 credit = 45 hours on site
    • 2 credits = 90 hours on site
    • 3 credits = 135 hours on site
    • 3 credits may be applied to the major
    • 6 credits may be applied to the 128 required credits
  • The week after registration, schedule an appointment with the internship coordinator to begin site location selection
  • Interview at possible site locations
