The members of the Wisconsin Lutheran College cheerleading team are a group of outstanding student-athletes who enthusiastically represent the college and lead Warrior fans at all football games.
Wisconsin Lutheran College cheerleaders have four fundamental purposes:
to create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement at sporting events, thereby increasing attendance
to showcase and advance Wisconsin Lutheran College through successful promotion of its athletic programs
to monitor the game, role modeling and helping maintain good sportsmanship
to serve as a public relations arm of the athletic department in the promotion of all athletic events.
The Wisconsin Lutheran College cheerleading program is an all female cheer squad. The squad is selected during the spring tryouts. The tryout date for the 2008 season is April 6 at 9 a.m.. Please see our Tryout Information section for more details.
Cheerleading practices and mini camps are held in August to prepare for the football season, while during the school year practices are held two to three times a week. Additional conditioning in the weight room will be required outside of practice time.
Uniforms are provided by the school, but cheerleaders are expected to purchase shoes and other personal items.
Wisconsin Lutheran College cheerleaders receive a varsity letter at the completion of the season. In order to participate, all squad members must meet academic eligibility requirements.
