Philosophy Major
A Philosophy major consists of at least 33 credits in Philosophy including:
Core courses: PHI 101, 102 (or 202), 201, 203.
Period and topical: At least twelve credits of PHI 310, 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319.
Systematic studies: At least six credits of PHI 401, 402, 403, 404, 499.
Capstone course: PHI 480
Regarding credits from other disciplines: Under normal circumstances, a maximum of six credits will be accepted from outside Philosophy toward the major or minor.
Philosophy Minor
A Philosophy minor consists of at least 21 credits in Philosophy including:
Core courses: PHI 101, 102 (or 202), 201, 203.
Period and topical: At least six credits)of PHI 310, 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316, 317, 318, 319.
Systematic studies: At least three credits of PHI 401, 402, 403, 404, 499.
Regarding credits from other disciplines: Under normal circumstances, a maximum of six credits will be accepted from outside Philosophy toward the major or minor.
