Milwaukee, WI - Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC) has announced a new major in its adult accelerated degree completion program: Health Care Management and Leadership.
A degree in Health Care Management and Leadership provides adult students with an opportunity to complete their Bachelor of Applied Science degree while gaining the skills and competencies necessary for increased earnings, greater career flexibility, opportunities for promotion, and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.
Health care management positions are projected to record above-average levels of growth over the next 8 to 10 years. (Bureau of Labor Statistics) In Wisconsin, occupation projections for medical and health service managers are expected to grow by more than 15 percent before 2026.
“The aging population has resulted in an increased need for clinical and non-clinical health care workers,” said Dr. Joyce S. Natzke, Dean of the College of Adult and Graduate Studies. “Whether you've been in the workforce for a few years or a few decades, the outlook is bright for those who are currently working in health care and want to advance their career or for those who would like to transition to a career in health care.”
The new Health Care Management and Leadership program will complement the Business Management and Leadership degree completion program already established at WLC.
