Sending Christian Leaders into the World
MILWAUKEE, WI - On Saturday, May 19, Wisconsin Lutheran College held spring commencement exercises in the Recreation Complex - Time of Grace Center. At the service, WLC awarded diplomas to more than 175 traditional undergraduate students, adult accelerated degree program students, and graduate students.
R. Bowen Loftin Ph.D., gave the keynote address. Dr. Loftin is a Professor of Physics at the University of Missouri, where he served as Chancellor in 2014-2015. Prior to joining the University of Missouri, Dr. Loftin was President of Texas A&M University.
Jerrod Klug '18 was the student speaker. He graduated with degrees in accounting and business administration. Klug, who received the 2017 Gary and Sandra Greenfield Christian Leadership Scholarship, is from Loveland, Colorado. His sister Allee was WLC's student speaker in May 2016.
Alumnus Jason Van Acker '00 welcomed graduates to the ranks of WLC alumni. He also was given the Alumni Service Award during the service.
Wisconsin Lutheran College prepares its graduates to be Christian servant leaders in the workplace and in the community.
